Saturday, April 27, is Independent Bookstore Day! In addition to celebrating with author June Smalls, plus selling and giving away exclusive goodies, we'll join other indie bookstores near and far in kicking off two very special scavenger hunts.

Libro.fm Golden Ticket Hunt

The first person to find the Golden Ticket hidden somewhere in our store on April 27 will win 12 free audiobook credits to use on Libro.fm!

When you buy your audiobooks from Libro.fm, a portion of your purchase goes to the indie bookstore of your choice, so it's a great way to support Hooray for Books!

Of course, just visiting one independent bookstore is never enough, which is why we're participating in a special passport event with 14 other indies across Northern Virginia, in Frederick, MD, and in Wardensville, WV.

Drop by to pick up your passport, then collect stamps from at least 4 of the participating stores -- including ours -- to win a free advance reader copy (ARC). Gathering 8 stamps will earn you a tote bag as well as your ARC.

Visit at least 10 of the 15 locations to be entered into a raffle for the Grand Prize, which includes contributions from every store!

Be sure to complete your passport by May 31 and turn it in before the prize drawing on June 2!
