As an independent bookstore, we pride ourselves on knowing children's books and providing great customer service. If you can't find a book you want - ask us! We can order it for you. If you aren't sure what to get, our staff can recommend books for children of all ages. Got an idea or a special event you want to build around books? Call or email us - we'll do our best to help!
Go Green at Hooray for Books! We're pleased to announce that we're collaborating with Eco-Libris so that customers can support the environment while reading books. You can elect to add $1 to the price of each book you buy - for each $1, Eco-Libris will plant one tree in a developing country. You'll receive an Eco-Libris sticker for each book for which you make a contribution! Read about Eco-Libris here. |

Hooray for Books! On the Air Thanks to all who helped us celebrate our second birthday. We love selling books, but we couldn't continue to do it without your support! Our birthday made the news on WUSA Channel 9 (thanks to reporter Angie Goff)...and we've posted a You Tube video as well. Meanwhile, you may have heard Trish Brown on
the Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU 88.5 FM. She and other panelists
discussed their summer reading picks with listeners. You can listen to
the show here.
